Admissions

Process & withdrawals

How admission works at IJHS, and the process if a student leaves.

Admissions process

  1. Candidate introduced in person by a responsible parent/guardian to the Principal.
  2. Age criteria for Std. I: completed five years by 15 June; original Birth Certificate required.
  3. First month fees + Term Fee + Entrance Fee in advance.
  4. Leaving Certificate required from recognised schools; out-of-state certificates counter-signed by the Education Officer.
  5. Out-of-India / unrecognised-school candidates: written test as required + original Birth Certificate.

Withdrawals

  1. One calendar month’s notice in writing is required before withdrawal; otherwise a fee may be charged. Those who leave in April must pay fees for May.
  2. Pupils who leave without notice, or whose names are struck off for unexplained absence of more than 10 days, may be re-admitted only as a rule after process.
  3. School fees are due as long as the pupil’s name remains on the Register — notify the office promptly when a student leaves.
  4. Leaving Certificate is refused until all dues are paid.
  5. Leaving Certificate application must be in writing by the parent/guardian in the prescribed form.
  6. Apply for Leaving Certificate promptly when discontinuing; fees apply for late or duplicate certificates as prescribed.
  7. No certificate is issued without a written application lodged at least three days before the required date.
